As per the reports, director Srijit Mukherjee is planning for a Hindi remake of his Bengali film "Hemlock Society". The director wanted to take Alia in this Hindi version of the film. Srijit said, "Yes, I've spoken to Mahesh Bhatt saab about a Hindi version of Hemlock Society. I think Alia would be ideal for the role that Koel Mallick did in the original". The film is based on a girl who learns different methods to commit suicide from a man who trains suicide aspirants.
